Introduction.
The Welland Valley Amateur Radio Society are based in and around the Market Harborough area in Leicestershire.
We like to think of ourselves as a small friendly club that welcomes new members, young and old. So If you live locally, or are just visiting the area and you are interested in Amateur Radio, then come down to the club in Great Bowden on the 3rd Monday of each the month and join the fun.
Our membership consists mainly of Radio Amateurs, Shortwave Listeners, as well as those with an interest in Electronics and Computers.
If your interested in visiting us, then please email us and we will let you know what's planned for the next club night and make you welcome when you arrive.
Club Night Meetings.
To help develop your interest and knowledge in Amateur Radio, please feel free to visit us on the 3rd Monday in the month (exc July/Aug). Our online calendar will give you an insight into what we have planned.
Outdoor Activities.
Mainly during the summer months, the club hosts several Special Event Stations, such as the Market Harborough Carnival and Harborough at War events. We also hold an annual DF Hunt and visit several Radio Rallies throughout the year.
